And I think to myself…what a STRANGE world! But, we’ve still got it make it wonderful! We are all living in a bizarre dystopian world; it’s transporting me back to A-level English studying The Handmaids Tale! Of course, health is everybody’s priority and my thoughts are with our amazing NHS and keyworkers that are working so hard for us all. Currently grounded from Uni, I am relishing in the excuse to relax and for once I feel as though I have time to plan things that I have wanted to achieve for so long. My blog regretfully hasn’t been the top of my checklist as I’m in third year studying Fashion Marketing and Management and everything just seemed to get in the way! However, now this permitted break is allowing me to reignite my passion for blogging. I’m thinking of fusing my love for styling and my knowledge from university studying fashion marketing to create a vlog series or podcast, as well as looking to start a newsletter tailored to inspire you at the beginning of each month. A lot to look forward to! If you’re sat there incredibly bored, try to find a new passion to ignite whether it’s learning to play an instrument, reading countless books or learning a new language.
To LIGHTEN the mood…here is my favourite look to date – THINK PINK! A traditionally male style in popping pink – yes please! I adore female suiting, it’s not only empowering but also très chic. This suit from ASOS is sourced from Topshop. My guilty pleasure is looking at new-in everyday! While scrolling through ASOS new-in I immediately stopped as I saw this incredible suit. The HOT pink colour caught my eye, as well as the unique button formation. The cropped style blazer is so fashionable. Obviously paired with the matching peg trousers the look pops but the blazer can be paired with blue or white denim jeans or shorts also for a more relaxed style. Once the look arrived I was delighted with the fit; the trousers nipped in at the waist and the blazer was cropped at the perfect length.
I styled my egret Converse boots to compliment the vivid colourway of the suit; the off-white shade balances the look. The boots tone down the formality of the look, adding a relaxed, sassy edge. I finished the look with my Ralph Lauren white bag with gold detailing and ring handle. The white accessories provide that essential colour contrast. I would wear this look for a Spring day shopping, a day at a fashion job or a fun lunch-date (which we are all looking so forward to at the moment!). The look could be paired with tie-ankle sandals and a clutch for an evening look.
