BLOCK-COLOUR CAMEL

There’s something about a wide-brimmed hat that makes me feel like mysterious fashionista. When I see beautifully dressed women in the street wearing a wide-brimmed hat I see them as a fashion icon with a life full of secrets. Styling an outfit in one block colour always looks classy; here camel upon camel. Stone/camel/tan colours are striking in Spring/Summer, this ASOS dress sourced from Missguided is a loose fitting, square neck number. The puff sleeves and unique neckline combined with the loose fit screams out for a belt. I clinched in the waist with my tan Gucci belt – my Spring staple accessory. The waist drawn in gives the dress a whole new vibe; spicy. I loved the mix of tan/camel together so decided to build the outfit around a block colour; Zara camel knee-high leather boots, Zara camel bucket bag and the Zara camel wide-brimmed wool hat. As I pieced the look together I fell more and more in love with the visual. Parisian chic! A simple unflattering dress had been transformed into a million-dollar look. Layering accessories can turn the plainest of dresses into a dream look; I cannot wait until lockdown is over to wear this. Afternoon tea and day-drinks outside are calling this outfit!

PASTEL SAGE SUMMER DRESS

Sage is the colour of the moment. Every New-In section on any clothing website will certainly feature sage coloured clothing/accessories/shoes. Flirty Spring dresses are such a treat; when they fit comfortably and look insanely cute there’s no better option. Stocked on ASOS, sourced from Missguided this pastel sage, poplin mini-dress is the definition of cutesy. The puff-sleeve and panelled mid are stunning details, combined creating an adorable aesthetic. The square neck line is super flattering and the bodycon fit adds shape. These Topshop sage V, sling-back heels are the ultimate match for the mini-dress. The colour is tonally identical. My Ralph Lauren gold-ring bag with Zara gold statement earrings combined with the heels dresses the look up; ideal for date-night or a cocktail bar. To dress the look down I paired the mini-dress with my off-white converse boots and fluffy socks. A dress fit for all occasions!

SPRING PJS

Pjs have a special place in my heart…it’s a shared opinion; people just love pjs! I am always tempted by a delicate, white pair; perfect for spring/summer months. Throughout the S/S months I am drawn to white clothing as it shows off a tan and is so pure. This flirty Missguided pj set is just perfect for summer slumber parties and holiday nightwear. The off-the-shoulder top is so comfy and doesn’t slip up like many off-the-shoulder items, while the baggy shorts with frilled edges are super sweet and the ribbed material adds more detail. If you want a fierce look and comfort then go get these. ALL HAIL PJS!

BRINGING THE BLAZER BACK

Blazers are the hottest outerwear choice of the moment. Scouring every shop/site for a lavish (affordable) blazer I spotted this sleek military, double-breasted blazer on Missguided. Embellished with gold naval inspired buttons this blazer was the perfect aesthetic that I was looking for, mirroring the preppy blazer styles on the designer catwalks. The subtle shoulder pads bring an 80’s revival to the style, differing from more contemporary slouchy fit. The pristine ivory against the metallic gold tones of the buttons makes a statement piece to be tastefully paired with a range of fashion from denim to flowing evening trousers. For the daytime edit I paired the blazer with my denim skort and a white bandeau top. To spice up the look for evening, wearing the jacket alone adds a daring fashion, alongside an air of sophistication.

80’s STYLE

The 80’s trend has returned to both fashion and music in 2017. I instantly fell in love with this Topshop 80’s vibe red leather jacket, the batwing arms and the drawn in waist gives a stylish aesthetic. The lining of the leather jacket is a red silk material, which shows when the sleeves are rolled up, a perfect addition. The D hoop rings have a sense of nostalgia while giving a funky decorative element to the jacket. The open thigh jeans from Missguided are bang on trend…the open knee trend is not enough for 2017!!!! I paired the 80’s retro outfit with V shaped red Lipsy stilettos, with gold foil accents to add sophistication to the outfit.
