The sweatshirt dress is a must for Spring! As the weather FINALLY begins to break into dress weather, a sweatshirt dress is a great transitional piece before the pretty Summer dresses take reign. Statement red is a non-stop trend for me; I always have one or two statement red pieces lined up, whether it be Summer or Winter. This New Look sweatshirt dress is an absolute winner. The American High-School Varsity theme is a VIBE, a look that I’ve always loved. While we are still adjusting coming out of lockdown the comfort of a sweatshirt dress is a great way of getting out of sweatpants and back into the world. Paired with white Zara high-top trainers you cannot go wrong.
I had my eye on this dreamy & Other Stories jumper for a LONG time. At the original price of an eye watering £85 although I adored the style I was hesitant…until the jumper appeared in the sale for £56. Knowing how long I had yearned for this style I crumbled.
I thought the jumper style was so unique and classy. Having ordered the jumper in size M I was concerned the jumper would size-up small…how wrong could I be! & Other Stories sizing is stunning; the jumper has an oversized look, which looks incredibly classy. The alpaca blend material feels luxurious and has an expensive look. The grey and cream check is a great transitional colour-way; ideal for Winter into Spring.
This Zara cream cargo style mini-skirt and cream Mango chunky boots compliment the cream in the check jumper and give a young aesthetic to the outfit. If you’ve followed my blog for a while you will know I ADORE a pop of red. Here I accessorised with my red Coach belt, Topshop red saddle bag and Gucci red lip. Check Mate!
Valentine’s Day 2021 was a different one! Whether you would have normally celebrated with your SO or treated yourself to a Galentine’s boozy brunch, this year was undoubtably different for everyone. I spent my day gearing up for an extra special trip to the local Costa Coffee drive thru for a 5* Gingerbread latte. Thinking that perhaps a take-away coffee was a bit sad, I decided to fashion a yummy homemade Afternoon Tea. Miniature Victoria sponge cakes and Mumma Jo’s 5* cheese scones were undoubtably the stars of the show.
Despite not being able to go anywhere, this red Zara Love collection was too irresistible not to try. I will let you in to a secret…I wore a cream sweatsuit all of actual Valentine’s with minimal make-up, but shooting these delectable red pieces earlier in last week gave me the minuscule of escapism that I craved.
In years to come, how will you look back on your lockdown Valentine’s Day?!
Gucci Lip: shade 25 Goldie Red, Rouge à Lèvres Mat Lipstick has an incredibly striking colour; a total Hollywood starlet vibe. Gucci is one of my all-time favourite brands; their quality is continually on point. The gold packaging and Gucci engraved detailing in the lipstick are perfect features. Matte lipsticks regularly dry out, I adore a matte lip but hate when you reapply when out and your left with a cakey mess, but not ‘Gucci Lip’. This Gucci lipstick is a knockout; the smooth velvety texture stays fresh for hours; on my birthday I did a top up here and there after eating for an extra colour pop, but in general the colour stayed perfect for hours. Oh, and did I mention shade 25 Goldie on my skin tone is TO-DIE-FOR! Red lipstick has the complication of potentially washing out a complexion, this Gucci lip however creates a warm tone and looks fab. Gucci makes it super easy to pick a shade, on their website they show each lipstick on a range of skin-tones. GO GET ONE!
‘Gucci Eyes’ Mascara L’Obscur in black is a killer product. I am unbelievably fussy when it comes to mascaras, I usually HATE when I have to purchase a new mascara; I loathe when the product is clumped on the brush and weighs down my lashes. Previously my resolution was to use my old dried up mascara wand in the new product for a smaller amount. Until…I was gifted this Gucci mascara by my parents! My fresh mascara hatred has gone. The wand, the product, the packaging…everything is as you’d expect at Gucci; above and beyond. I adore Gucci for its premium quality and their Make-Up line does not disappoint. My lashes tend to stick together, however the Gucci mascara fans out my lashes coating them in deep, jet black and gives my lower lashes a smoky look. 5* The pink and gold packaging is beyond lavish; I keep it on display in my room, who could hide this gorgeous product in a make-up bag!
Working out has never looked so good. After all the goal of fitness is to look good; that’s why this OhPolly Bo and Tee workout set is so good. I usually struggle with legging length due to having super long legs, also most leggings are awfully see-through! These knock spots off of other styles I have tried; they have a double thickness so there is no transparency and the length of the bottoms were pretty good, especially considering OhPolly length is usually hit and miss for me as a tall girl.
I adore the rocking red colour, it’s super bright and encouraging. The wrap over style of the top made me feel secure while it looked super stylish. I enjoy going for a speed walk so this set is perfect when you want to look nice but feel suitable for exercise. The cropped length of the top is complimented greatly by the high waisted legging. Now, I must get back to the gym for a spin class because this set is so beautiful.
You cannot go wrong with a powerful red suit. Female suiting is a favourite style of mine, but I rarely find suit trousers that fit correctly or look long enough. This OhPolly suit is a head turner, the cropped blazer length, flared leg and bright red colour make a flawless co-ord. I wore tan Stradivarius braided mules with the suit to give a neutral contrast against the popping red.

‘ANNA has been taught that virtue is the path to God. But on her eighteenth birthday she defies her Mamma’s rules and visits Florida’s biggest theme park.
She has never been allowed to go – so why, when she arrives, does everything seem so familiar? And is there a connection to the mysterious letter she receives on the same day?
ROSIE has grown up in the shadow of the missing sister she barely remembers, her family fractured by years of searching without leads. Now, on the fifteenth anniversary of her sister’s disappearance, the media circus resumes in full flow, and Rosie vows to uncover the truth.
But will she find the answer before it tears her family apart?’
I could not put this book down. I read it within a week which is unheard of for me! Whilst studying at university we are required to read massive amounts for our course, therefore I never sought relaxation via reading. However, when my Mumma recommended this book I could not put it down. The whole concept is absolutely genius. Buy it now to reduce your quarantine blues!
I have the most varied music taste of anyone I know. I listen to a range of artists from Dua Lipa, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Beyoncé to Elvis, WHAM and Elton John. I love both modern music and classic bangers! My favourite song this month is Woman by John Lennon. This song has an extremely sweet muse; Lennon wrote this song as an ode to his wife Yoko Ono. The relaxed vibes and adorable meaning create a beautiful tune. Have a listen!
8. MADDISON’S FILM OF THE MONTH
MUMMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN
While we are all stuck indoors, why not pretend we are in the Greek Island? Although many tutt at Mumma Mia I absolutely adore the films, especially the second one! The songs, dances and visuals make me feel excited for the future when we can travel and roam freely again. The fashion in this film is stunning and as for Lily James…well she’s pure perfection! The ultimate feel-good film.
9. MADDISON’S ACTIVITY OF THE MONTH

This weekend book a Facetime Date with your pals and pop open the fizz or pour a gin for a Facetime O’Clock! Why not dress up for the occasion?!

My first post is a reflective look back over my posts in 2019 and how much my styling has changed. I wish you all a fantastic start to 2020!
Thinking of a Halloween costume is my favourite part of October and so I began thinking of a killer outfit. This year I decided a Ringmaster would be my theme. I spent hours looking on sites for the perfect costume when H&M released their stunning Halloween collection – which amazingly contained a Ringmaster style. It’s a stunningly detailed velvet bodysuit piece; the main body is black with gold button detailing, with a red velvet jacket style attached. I paired it with fishnet tights, over the knee boots and a top hat. So chic!!! Of-course Halloween is no longer a one-night event; so more than one outfit is a must. You can turn most everyday outfits into Halloween styles. Here I styled my Zara white mini-dress as a Mummy. Simply using bandages, you can turn the look into a spooky Halloween vibe. Get yours now before time runs out!!!
I have never known it to rain SO MUCH. I absolutely hate rain, especially when I have to commute daily. Public transport is hurled into meltdown, outfits get ruined and everyone is pretty miserable. Not only is the rain rotten, the wind is hideous too, sending umbrellas into a frenzy. I decided the best solution would be to invest in a proper umbrella. I have been a fan of Lulu Guinness for many years now. I had always eyed-up their umbrella collection. The standout style for me was their ‘Diagonal Stripe Bloomsbury Umbrella’. The chic shade of red, contrasting with the monochrome stripe is perfect to pair with my Winter outfits; adding a pop of colour. The umbrella is outstanding quality and detailed to perfection; the clasp is finished with a red lips embellishment – so Lulu! The umbrella is also auto-opening with a simple press of the button, which is so convenient when you’re battling the weather with bags galore. I highly recommend purchasing one for the dreary days ahead, it gives you a reason to hope for rain ;)!
