Class of 2021…with the trending ‘Harvard’ sweatshirt, the streets look littered with Harvard grads. I’ve always adored a preppy American style and fell instantly in love with the Zara Harvard popping red sweatshirt. My style is vast, but I usually pick a dressy style over relaxed. Now of course, with a sweatshirt I am instantly inclined to pair the piece with blue or white jeans or joggers. But…having come across a stunning look in Vogue where the stylist mixed smart & casual perfectly by mixing a sweatshirt and a midi skirt, I fell in love!
Using the Vogue look as inspiration, I fled to the Zara skirt section where I found this killer midi black skirt with gold button detailing and ultra sassy side split. Tucking in the Harvard sweatshirt I loved the look; the skirt clinched in at the waist perfectly and added a chic aesthetic. Finished with black courts the outfit works perfectly for a city lunch break.
It goes without saying that the lockdown is 100% necessary, but we cannot help but have that pang of sadness that Summer events are likely to be cancelled. I’m due to graduate university this July however, that has been postponed also! It is essential that we all stay positive and appreciate the hard work of others in this difficult time. Solution = make your own events! This bright green number caught my eye many months ago, it’s difficult to miss. The elegant shaping and stand-out colouring combine to create a killer style. The material is lightweight and flows as I walk, ideal for warmer days. The puff sleeves and high-neck style are modest – perfect for the races. The midi length, side slit, and button embellishments make the block-colour dress far from boring. The dress fits in all the right places. The dress looks incredible paired with the off-white sandals from Primark, with tie-front bows and the Ralph Lauren gold handle bag. The off-white accessories add a subtle contrast to the green. The Zara crystal statement earrings are a FAVOURITE suitable for special occasions or when you need a touch of sparkle! Glam in green!
T-shirt dresses are the definition of comfy. There’s nothing I love more than flinging on a one-item outfit that looks chic and slick. This midi t-shirt dress is the ultimate Spring piece, the short puff sleeves with bow tie, the midi length with side slits and the simple round neck fashion a simple yet effective piece. The material is lightweight perfect for the warmer days, however on a chillier day you could layer a shirt or thin jumper underneath. A great way to dress up a t-shirt dress is to add an organza shirt with pussy-bow and heeled sandals. Here I styled the look casually with my shoe of the month; my converse boots. The matching off-white colours go together seamlessly. I purchased the t-shirt dress in a size-down for a snug fit; the waist tightens in just the right place. For an oversized fit lover this is the dress for you.
While we all self-isolate that does not mean our social lives have to end! Facetime has been my saviour. Whether it’s a friend date or a flirty date, Facetime is the perfect platform to maintain a social life. The focal thing that I’m missing as a fashion focused female is getting dressed up. Slobbing around in comfies isn’t my natural style. However, dressing up does not have to stop…virtual date nights mean you can rock a killer outfit in the comfort of your own home.
I had this outfit planned out prior to lockdown, all sourced via ASOS (except the Gucci belt). The white organza/silk bralette top is perfect for drinks out. The organza dramatic sleeves, combined with the satin effect bodice is an impeccable contrast, while the frill is figure flattering. Here I styled the bralette with mom jeans; the perfect item to dress-down a look. Jeans paired with heels is a look I have adored for years; timeless yet chic. Sandals are the current footwear of choice; these nude mid-heels are the perfect height to walk comfortably and look super elegant. Bottega Veneta clutch bags have captured the market, such a simple design yet so fashionable. Many high-street retailers have made replica styles, including this ASOS white clutch. The clutch is a faultless design, the size and style of the bag makes an outfit. I finished the look with my signature Gucci belt. This weekend I look forward to my quarantine date-night…in style!

‘ANNA has been taught that virtue is the path to God. But on her eighteenth birthday she defies her Mamma’s rules and visits Florida’s biggest theme park.
She has never been allowed to go – so why, when she arrives, does everything seem so familiar? And is there a connection to the mysterious letter she receives on the same day?
ROSIE has grown up in the shadow of the missing sister she barely remembers, her family fractured by years of searching without leads. Now, on the fifteenth anniversary of her sister’s disappearance, the media circus resumes in full flow, and Rosie vows to uncover the truth.
But will she find the answer before it tears her family apart?’
I could not put this book down. I read it within a week which is unheard of for me! Whilst studying at university we are required to read massive amounts for our course, therefore I never sought relaxation via reading. However, when my Mumma recommended this book I could not put it down. The whole concept is absolutely genius. Buy it now to reduce your quarantine blues!
I have the most varied music taste of anyone I know. I listen to a range of artists from Dua Lipa, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Beyoncé to Elvis, WHAM and Elton John. I love both modern music and classic bangers! My favourite song this month is Woman by John Lennon. This song has an extremely sweet muse; Lennon wrote this song as an ode to his wife Yoko Ono. The relaxed vibes and adorable meaning create a beautiful tune. Have a listen!
8. MADDISON’S FILM OF THE MONTH
MUMMA MIA: HERE WE GO AGAIN
While we are all stuck indoors, why not pretend we are in the Greek Island? Although many tutt at Mumma Mia I absolutely adore the films, especially the second one! The songs, dances and visuals make me feel excited for the future when we can travel and roam freely again. The fashion in this film is stunning and as for Lily James…well she’s pure perfection! The ultimate feel-good film.
9. MADDISON’S ACTIVITY OF THE MONTH

I love socialising with my friends and while sadly this isolation period has halted in-person gatherings, I have been catching up with my besties via Facetime! This weekend book a Facetime Date with your pals and pop open the fizz or pour a gin for a Facetime O’Clock! Why not dress up for the occasion?!
The classic trench is a Spring MUST. I’ve always been a fan of the classic style and it keeps popping up on ‘new in’ everywhere! I try to take my own twist on current trends and this OhPolly dress caught my eye. I’ve wanted a trench dress for so long; the style is timeless. Perfect for day to night styling, the dress is the ultimate piece for all day shopping trips. The belt pulls in the waist; the aesthetic of ultimate femininity. It can be worn off the shoulder; undone to the waist with a top underneath or thrown over an outfit as a model trench. I paired it with knee high brown suede boots; the perfect duo. Accessorised with the gold Abbott Lyon watch the outfit was complete.
Monochrome is unbeatable and timeless. A monochrome theme is effortlessly classy. I am such a fan of the masculine style; male clothing is often better tailored than womens and gives a sassy oversized look. Here I styled a Next men’s white shirt. The slick fit with a double, oversized cuff is perfect to pair with leather bottoms, adding cufflinks to continue the masculine theme. I have been searching for the perfect pair of leather trousers for so long. I wanted something different from the average tight-fitting pair. River Island released this paperbag style leather trouser early Autumn and they are perfect. Unlike the average pair of leather trousers these fit superbly and are effortlessly comfortable to wear for any occasion.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but dressing for drizzly summer days is the most IMPOSSIBLE task! With a multitude of summer clothes that haven’t yet been worn, it seems a shame to not wear them. So when the first summer down pour came I had noooo idea what to throw on… My inner Donna Sheridan came to the rescue – dungarees! The perfect solution; covered enough to stay dry and warm, yet still a summer statement. Underneath I styled with this PLT sand Bardot top with statement sleeves and button up front – super hot this season. This top is the ultimate sweet summer piece, perfect for underneath dungarees. These ASOS sandals have been my summer saviour and sass up the outfit. The Zara sandy coloured hat suited the tone perfectly. Accessorising with a baker boy hat will never get old; they’re the cutest accessory and always finish an outfit. Going into Autumn denim continues to kill it in jumpsuits and boiler suits; be sure to get one ASAP!
Trends come and go, but animal print has always been a classic, revived completely for SS & AW 18. Every brand imaginable has multiple items in notorious leopard print. The trend igniting all over catwalks; lead by Tom Ford in a multitude of colours for AW 2018, sparked the renewal of this classic. Although many brands are designing the print in multiple colours, personally I believe the traditional print cannot be beaten. Zara – always on the ball – released this leopard print long midi. The midi is being worn by all fashionistas; a style favoured by Megan Markle causing a wave amongst the most fashionable. The modest length accessorised with a statement heel creates a stylish, come sassy look.
