THE BIKINI OF DREAMS
August is bringing us yet another heatwave, so get your bikinis at the ready! H&M is killing the game with their fashion right now…especially on the bikini front. Although a simple bikini style can be stunning, I LOVE a unique show stopping style. This bandeau style ruffled bikini top is such a flattering and unique shape. The bikini bottoms have a figure flatting V dip. Big floppy straw hats are a VIBE and create an extra chic beach look. This Zara oversized straw hat is a 10/10. Now…get me to the beach.

MIDAXI STYLE
Mango is a dream site for statement Midaxi styles. The Midaxi combines Midi & Maxi length. The length is ideal for an occasion where midi is too informal and maxi is too formal. Being tall it is a great option.
Blue and white stripe is a favourite of mine in the warmer months; it screams Summer holiday. The statement oversized cuff, combined with the white tie-belt detailing creates the beautiful Mary Poppins esque style! I styled the dress with tan, crocodile print courts to complete the look.

BLUE FLORAL SUMMER
I just can’t get enough of Zara at the moment! I have MANY more blogs to come with mostly Zara clothing, I’m just obsessed. Now, since I was a little girl I have LOVED a baby blue and pink colour mix; it stems from a little light blue summer top with pink flowers that I wore when I was younger, I felt so cool when I wore it (bless lil Mads). Forward 10 years and here I am sporting a Zara baby blue and pink floral summer dress. The ruched bodice and frill detailing are so precious, while the mini length and heart neckline adds a sprinkle of sass. Not only is does the ruching give the dress ample stretch and fits tight to my best features, but it also adds great detailing. Ideal for lunching and brunching or for a Summer cocktail. I wore off-white heeled sandals here, but tan or white sliders would look perfect too.

NEUTRALS TWO-WAYS
Who doesn’t love a neutral? Mixing white with camel/sandy tones is a favourite colour combo of mine for the Summer months. As you all know I am a detail addict, whether it be voluminous sleeves or creative collar. This camel H&M midi shirt dress is a fantastic piece from Spring to Autumn. The midi length and shirt collar combined with the oversized nature of the dress screams for a statement belt to clinch in the waist. Here I added the Zara jute, knot belt in-keeping with the neutral vibe. This look would work with stylish, white chunky sneakers, but here I styled the look with Primark off-white ankle-tie sandals adding sophistication. I would wear this for an afternoon tea or glam brunch with my girls.
The second outfit: Zara cream shorts with turn-ups, a sandy H&M puff-sleeve blouse, the Zara jute knot belt and Primark tie-ankle sandals. The short + shirt combo, accessorised with the belt has an elegant, yet playful style. I finished both looks with my Mango gold chain, camel bag and Kate Spade bangle. You will never go wrong with a neutral style!

ZARA WHITE SUMMER TOPS
Blue denim and white is a Summer classic; a style combo that I recycle year after year. It’s such a simple fusion that always looks chic. Zara is the Queen of white Summer tops/shirts, they have endless variations; countless unique design combinations. As Summer is nearing I have styled my two favourite Zara white tops with a denim skort and jeans. The long sleeve poplin cropped white shirt, with cross over front and open back is a killer style; who knew a plain white shirt could be so innovative and flirty. The long sleeves are decorated with button fastenings, creating a gaping effect. I paired this crop top with blue denim jeans, my red Coach belt and silver shoes. The second Zara top is a ruched strappy, crop top. This top is perfect for warmer weather and looks super cute paired with denim. I styled the top with a Zara denim skort, Gucci belt and brown faux leather sliders. Such a classic S/S vibe. I’m certainly looking forward to the warmer weather.

PAINTER BY DAY…FASHIONISTA BY NIGHT!
Boilersuits are the business. They’re a flawless style one-piece option for A/W, the only issue for Spring/Summer is overheating. But, don’t rule Boilersuits out completely…for the summer months I always wear my boilersuits tied around my waist. Boilersuits are a fabulous option for the British Summer, as we all know the weather is incredibly unpredictable, tying the arms around your waist gives you the option to pull it up for warmth if it’s too nippy for a crop-top. This technique also means you don’t have to take a jacket, win-win! Here I styled the boilersuit tied, with a Zara green ribbed, racer crop-top and Topshop mint heels. The off-white denim colouring is complemented by the splash of fresh green. Why waste the stylish belt? For an outlandish look tie your belt as a neck bow, channelling a Parisian scarf tie in a unique way. Get your boilersuit on!

MADDISON’S MAY
As lockdown continues we’re all just craving an end date. Although it remains unclear as to when we can meet up with our friends and family again, there’s starting to be light at the end of the tunnel. It’s really important right now to cherish this time with family and find ways to embrace this lockdown; my amazing tutor at university was incredibly encouraging and recommended online courses. If you’ve had an interest in something for a long time, now is the time to exercise it.
I adore creating my monthly post; my wish-lists and song, film and book recommendations visually present of all the things I love. Designer clothing has beautiful quality and uniqueness, while high-street clothing is accessible and can be truly as delectable as designer. My exclusive Quarantini…The Minx is not one to be missed, I will be making a tutorial on my Instagram over the weekend; perfect for gin and pink fizz lovers. Take a scroll into my world of beautiful wants and wishes for a piece of glitz and glamour in a world of cloud! Try your best to remain positive and happy. Enjoy…

6. BOOK, FILM & SONG OF THE MONTH
BOOK
THE UNDOMESTIC GODESS by Sophie Kinsella
BLURB
‘Samantha thrives under pressure. A high-powered London lawyer, all she can concentrate on is taking the next step in her career; eating, sleeping, seeing friends – even taking a breath – will have to wait.
But just when she’s about to get everything she has ever wanted, Samantha makes a mistake. A fifty-million-pound, career-destroying mistake. Unable to face the consequences, she does the unimaginable and runs away…
Catching the first train she can, she finds herself in the countryside, outside a beautiful grand house. Mistaken for another woman, she falls into a new job as the family’s housekeeper.
Disaster ensues. In a blink, her life has shifted from writing briefs to washing them – and she has no idea how to work the washing machine. Let alone the oven. A former master of the takeaway menu, she’s now expected to whip up fine cuisine.
But gradually, she falls in love with her new life in a wholly unexpected way. Will her employers ever discover the truth? Will Samantha’s old life ever catch up with her? And if it does…will she want it back?’
MY TAKE
This book was truly unputdownable, I adored it. The constant ups and downs fashion a hilarious and tragic, yet loveable novel. I resonated with Sam’s fake it till you make it demeanour. I laughed out loud and shed a tear, I absolutely recommend this.
FILM
ALADDIN LIVE ACTION REMAKE
If you haven’t seen it, it’s a must. Aladdin was a favourite of mine growing up, I idolised the Arabian clothing, architecture and music. The live-action remake undoubtedly tops the original. A sea of turquoise, terracotta and gold enthrals your eyes, while the overriding spirit and verve captivate the audience. Will Smith’s performance as the genie is outrageously hilarious, while Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud paid homage to the animated characters. With the current zeitgeist of angst and distress, engrossing ourselves in beautiful films that provide escapism and relaxation is essential. The recognisable tunes and exquisitely picturesque visuals make a film that is not to be missed!
SONG
Play Date by Melanie Martinez
Now if you’re as obsessed with TikTok as I am, especially the trending video of heartthrob Timothée Chalamet having a boogie then you will know this song. The tune by Melanie Martinez was released back in 2015 and much like many of the TikTok trending songs it is so catchy. The captivating tune has a dream state vibe that I’m totally here for!
7. MADDISON’S ACTIVITY OF THE MONTH
A MORNING RUN
My ultimate favourite exercise is a Spin class, I adore the spin bike and the way I feel after a class; refreshed, de-stressed and pumped full of endorphins. Unfortunately, due to lockdown I am unable to spin. As an alternative I have started running. Lockdown is an incredibly weird concept, nobody would’ve believed this would be our reality if we were told a year ago. I haven’t left my village since I returned from university in mid-March, I hadn’t left my house for 2 weeks and quite frankly I was going slightly mad. My mindset is usually incredibly positive, and I thrive off of hard work however, even the most resilient of us can get low in this circumstance. My brother and I started running at the beginning of April and although initially it was tough I have grown to look forward to my venture out for half an hour. I clear my head, feel as free as I possibly can and return feeling rejuvenated, cheerier and breathless. If you’re feeling claustrophobic or downhearted, then I endorse a walk or jog to re-ignite your spark.
BLOCK-COLOUR CAMEL
There’s something about a wide-brimmed hat that makes me feel like mysterious fashionista. When I see beautifully dressed women in the street wearing a wide-brimmed hat I see them as a fashion icon with a life full of secrets. Styling an outfit in one block colour always looks classy; here camel upon camel. Stone/camel/tan colours are striking in Spring/Summer, this ASOS dress sourced from Missguided is a loose fitting, square neck number. The puff sleeves and unique neckline combined with the loose fit screams out for a belt. I clinched in the waist with my tan Gucci belt – my Spring staple accessory. The waist drawn in gives the dress a whole new vibe; spicy. I loved the mix of tan/camel together so decided to build the outfit around a block colour; Zara camel knee-high leather boots, Zara camel bucket bag and the Zara camel wide-brimmed wool hat. As I pieced the look together I fell more and more in love with the visual. Parisian chic! A simple unflattering dress had been transformed into a million-dollar look. Layering accessories can turn the plainest of dresses into a dream look; I cannot wait until lockdown is over to wear this. Afternoon tea and day-drinks outside are calling this outfit!
